Why I’m building HouseReady

Hi, I’m Jordan Castellani. I remember finding a good university house, sending it to the group and then trying to get everyone organised before it disappeared. Since then I’ve watched the same thing happen to my siblings and friends. One person ends up searching, arranging viewings and chasing everyone else. Budgets are unclear, replies take too long and, by the time someone calls the estate agent, the house has already gone.

Students experience this problem every year, and it feels like one that should have been solved by now.

What HouseReady is trying to change

• Important decisions being made too late. Budgets, areas and move-in dates are usually agreed only after the right listing has gone.
• One person carrying the organisational burden. Finding, sharing, chasing and viewing usually falls to a single housemate.
• Groups responding too slowly. Property information ends up scattered across chats, and enquiries go out incomplete.

Where HouseReady is today

HouseReady is currently being built for UK student housing groups. The Starter Pack is available immediately. The first 50 suitable active student groups will be prioritised for early-access invitations beginning in October 2026, but joining does not guarantee selection.
